Puppy Vaccine Appointments

What to Expect at Your Puppies Upcoming Vaccination Appointment

We’re looking forward to seeing you and your puppy soon at Enfield Veterinary Hospital for their booster vaccination.

Here’s a quick guide on what to expect during your visit:

Physical examination:

Before any vaccination, your vet will perform a thorough physical examination to ensure your puppy is happy and healthy. This includes checking things like their teeth, heart and joints.

Advice:

Having a new puppy join your family can be overwhelming at times. The vets and nurses can provide valuable feedback and advise around their care and behaviour. One of our nurses, Mel, runs puppy classes every Wednesday evening. You can often find Mel at reception to provide more information or another nurse can assist as well.

We can also provide information on pet insurance.

This appointment is also a great time to ask any questions or raise any concerns about your pet’s behaviour, habits, or wellbeing.

Parasite control:

Knowing what the best medication to give your new puppy can be confusing for a lot of new pet owners. Often your breeder will recommend a certain product based off their experience with this.

Enfield Vet has a puppy program to eliminate the choices and confusion around parasite control and to simplify what you need to be doing at home. We recommend the following parasite control due to their effectiveness at protecting your pet and removing the amount of work that you have to do at home as well.

Life gets busy and its easy to forget when you need to give a product!
